The beauty of butterfly has caught humans’ eyes ever since our existence, and different cultures across the globe have developed myths and folklores and passed down along many generations Let’s discover these legends!

Long ago there lived Yu-Ti, the beautiful firstborn daughter of an Apache shaman. Only two of the tribe’s favourite warriors were considered worthy of her love.

To determine who would be her husband, the warriors were sent to the battlefield. However, they were both killed in war.

Yu-Ti went to the battlefield to search for their bodies, but the grass and soil had already covered them. Pitying her, the Great Spirit made flowers bloom all over the land, each resembling a fallen warrior’s shield.

The Great Spirit also transformed Yu-Ti into a butterfly, so that her spirit could return every spring and continue to search among the flowers. This is how the first butterfly was born.
